Hey guys, this is my blog about living with Lupus and Fibromyalgia - which if you don’t know both are really crappy, life-long, chronic and painful illness (please see page titled 'What the feck is Lupus?' for more information) Here I will document the highs as well as the lows and even the really shitty bits that no one tells you about. I want this to be as real as real can be so be prepared for some brutal honesty.
Don’t fret! It's not all doom and gloom as I am a very positive
person and often find ways to laugh in face of Lupus - as I like to put it - 'I am not Lupus' Bitch - Lupus is MY Bitch!'
At the time of writing, I am 28 years old. I live in London
in England (well just outside) with my fiance, Sami. We've been
together for around 6 years and he is my rock. He looks after me he does. I CANNOT wait to marry him!
When I was first diagnosed I thought to myself, "Right
ok, so I have Lupus, that’s fine it wont affect me, I'll just carry on as
normal"
I was in complete denial. I did carry on as normal for a while but now I've decided my health is more important. I've learnt to expect less of myself and of others. I think they call it Acceptance - it took me a couple of years but I go there in the end.
I do what makes ME happy now.
Although I fight this crazy fucktard of an illness on a daily
basis, I remain positive and happy. I still enjoy life as much as I can
and everyday I write a reason why I should be happy. I think this is what
keeps me sane - try it out.
I hope you enjoy my blog and I hope it makes you smile =0)
Cheers to my fellow lupies and supporters xxx
